Alright, so you know you're from Florida when you can't stand minute-maid orange juice. It's seriously nasty when you grow up on fresh squeezed orange juice (with pulp, of course). One of my favorite Florida brands is Natalie's Orchid Island Juice. I try not to drink too much orange juice since it's so acidic, but it's SOOoo0o0o delicious. I saw Natalie's Orchid Island Juice was sponsoring a local marathon on the marathon's website, so I clicked onto their site and read a little about the juice company. I decided to leave a comment on the site about how much I love their orange juice and how whenever I travel, I can't stand the other orange juices (you think I'm being dramatic, but maybe you haven't tried FL orange juice just yet). A rep from the company emailed me with gratitude for my comment and told me that they actually have their juice and other fruit juices under different labels in some other states, so now when I travel, I can look out for those fresh-squeezed juices at the supermarket. Besides being flattered that they even resonded and made future USA travels a little better, I was offered free coupons and a t-shirt.... uhh YEAaaaahhhhh, of course I'd love that! So they sent me a package with coupons, a huge logo sticker, a company t-shirt (that says on its sleeve, "All Glory to God Almighty"--so I should probably thank God, so, THANKS!), and a "Natalie's Orchid Island Juice" pen. I was beyond myself. Probably one of the most exciting things ever. Sure, I'll probably buy their orange juice for the rest of my life, so in a way their kindness worked how they probably want it to (since I'm gonna wear the t-shirt with their logo until it doesn't fit anymore and place the sticker on my forehead until I find a permanent place for it), but I was going to buy their juice forever anyways.
I hope there's Natalie's Orange Juice in heaven.
Ivana
